Outcome Based Advising

About Us

We are master’s level, licensed clinicians specializing in helping families find the best individualized approach to guiding their loved ones towards sustained recovery. We have years of experience in many different clinical settings helping individuals and families who are in all phases of the change process.  We are seasoned experts in the treatment of most forms of complex addictions and mental illnesses.  We limit the number of clients we work with in order to ensure the highest quality of care.

Who Our Clients Are

If you are committed to supporting a loved one who has not been able to sustain long term recovery from a mental illness, addiction, or both, we are here to provide you with direction and support.  You may have been told that you are dealing with any number of different diagnoses, some of which may even conflict with one another, and this may have led to confusion or inaction.  We are here to provide you with clarity.  You may have been given suggestions from a variety of sources that have been inconsistent or just not felt quite right.  We are here to provide you with absolutely objective expert guidance that you can trust.

Most addictions and mental illnesses are tremendously well researched and treatable, however family members who do not receive individualized, ongoing guidance are likely to miss key opportunities to keep their loved ones on track with their treatment.  You may have been told that you cannot control your loved one’s journey.  While that is ultimately true, it does not mean that you cannot profoundly impact their prognosis. And, in doing so, you can minimize suffering for your entire family.  Research clearly shows that individuals battling mental illness and/or addiction recover more often and more quickly when they have a support system that is engaged with professional advisors.  The decisions that you make as your loved one’s primary source of support do matter.

We are here for the sole purpose of ensuring that you make the most strategically prudent choices as you navigate a delicate and emotional journey.  We enter at any one of several points along your journey, including when your loved is active in their illness, when they are already in a treatment program, or when they are transitioning or have recently transitioned out of a treatment program, or is in early recovery and struggling to sustain their progress.

How We Differ

Singular Focus

You are our client and our ultimate priority is that you make the most strategically indicated decisions as you seek to influence your loved one’s recovery.  Unlike many practices that may seem comparable, we do not dilute our energy by also providing ancillary services such as case management, psychotherapy, psychiatry, interventions, or treatment placement.  We deliberately limit our practice in this way in order to concentrate entirely on delivering the highest quality specialized guidance.

Autonomous Operation

We do not work for any other companies,  nor do we affiliate ourselves with any other organizations or providers.  Our work is entirely independent and you will never have to worry about conflicts of interest leading to clouded judgment. This is part of what allows us to maintain professional integrity as the utmost value in our practice.

Personalized Care

Addictions and mental illnesses are rigidly defined by fixed criteria.  Families, on the other hand, cannot be understood nor treated in the same way.  We know and respect that your circumstances are unique and complex.  Expect to receive custom-tailored service that is uniquely crafted to match your needs.  While the structure and foundation of our approach is consistent in every case, we pride ourselves on individualizing the care you receive.  As far as we are concerned, there is no other way.

Who We Are

Jessica Ponn is a licensed clinician with more than 15 years of experience working in the field of dual diagnosis care in South Florida.  She has worked in treatment programs as a therapist and clinical director, and she has maintained a thriving private practice for over a decade.  Early in her career she began to notice that the majority of families she encountered were sorely lacking in adequate professional guidance, and in many cases they did not even know it.  Often times they had attached themselves to the first professional they happened to have met – whether a clinician, marketer, coach, etc. – and ended up going down an ill-advised path.  Even families with an excess of advisors had made choices that they regretted.  At best, the consequences were the loss of a small fortune and the erosion of elusive hope.

After witnessing one family after another making unwise decisions with the best of intentions, she decided to dedicate her practice to correct this fundamental problem .  Jessica is deeply passionate about showing you the things you can control and helping you take that control to leverage the best outcomes possible for your family.  She prides herself on her patience, attention to detail, and clear communication. She is focused on solutions and results.  She only work with a small number of clients at a time in order to guarantee that you will always receive the quality of service you deserve.
